Farwell Canyon

Looking for some stunning British Columbia geography? Look no further than Farwell Canyon, just one hour southwest of Williams Lake. The canyon was carved by time from the Chilcotin River, and today provides some breathtaking scenery such as ancient hoodoos, pillars of sandstone formations jutting up out of the ground, and excellent photo ops. View one of the largest shifting sand dunes in Canada from atop the canyon, and even take the 1.5-hour return trail to the dunes themselves. Proper footwear and sunglasses are essential if visiting the dunes.
