This impressive collection of more than 30,000 artifacts depicts the history of farming, logging and mining life in the region and the province throughout history. It is home to one of the most significant collections of rare Chinese artifacts in North America, as well as an arrowhead collection dating back thousands of years.

Quensnel Forks
Visit the earliest mining camp in the Cariboo. This fascinating ghost town was once a thriving mining town that attracted many gold-seekers in the 1860s. Visit the area’s restored buildings or stroll through the hillside cemetery.                                                                                                                 Minimum time required: 2-3 hours.

Cottonwood House
Cotton wood House was completed in 1865 and served as a stop for travelers and miners making the voyage to Barkerville and the promise of gold. Explore the historic buildings on site, including the Double Barn that once housed the stagecoaches, and even pan for gold in the Cottonwood River.
