Soda Creek
Xats’ull Heritage Village
Just a 40 minute drive north of Williams Lake, Soda Creek is home to the fascinating Xats’ull Heritage Village which portrays the life of the Shuswap Nation who occupied the area for more than 5,000 years before gold seeking settlers arrived. The Village makes a great group stop, and features commentary on the Xats’ull people and interpretation of their ancient petroglyphs. For a special treat, spend the night at the Village and enjoy traditional singing, dancing and drumming before heading off to sleep in an authentic teepee or pit house.
